Le Rosé IGP Vaucluse Chêne Bleu 2019

Blend : Grenache Noir 60%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault 5%, Mourvedre 8%, Rolle 12%

Winemaking + ageing process : The fruit is certified organic, certified BeeFriendly and HVE 3 sustainable viticulture. No synthetic treatments are used in the vineyard and the estate is managed in accordance with biodynamic principles. The Grenache Noir vines are 20-70 years old, North-West facing at 530 m. The Syrah vines are 20-50 years old, South-West facing at 540 m. Other varieties are a minimum of 10 years old. The soil is clay and silt loam and very stony. Ripe fruit is hand harvested into shallow alimentary plastic crates to protect the integrity of the fruit. Grapes are hand sorted twice on separate tables, de-stemmed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. 

Tasting notes : Brilliant, orangey-pink. The nose is very aromatic. Concentrated notes of raspberry and redcurrant mixed with pomelo grapefruit, orange zest and lime. Floral notes. The palate is balanced and fresh, rich and elegant. Fruity complemented by long citrus notes on the finish. Low residual sugar for a rosé.
