Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Blend : 99% Sauvignon Blanc, 1% Sauvignon Gris

Winemaking + ageing process : The fruit for this cuvée is sourced from several estate vineyards located in both Sonoma County : 35% Merino Estate & 15% Twomey Healdsburg Estate Vineyard and Napa County: 9% Twomey Calistoga Estate Vineyard & 41% Oakville Estate Vineyard. After fermentation the wine is aged for 4 months on primary lees in several different vessels. 41% goes into French oak of that percentage 24% goes into barrique and 17% into puncheons. The remaining juice is divided 9% into drums and 50% in tank. The distinct flavors and textures of each of these four Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, and the various ageing processes used allows for the production of a nuanced and elegant wine that still packs plenty of that distinctive California sunshine.

Tasting notes : This wine is a pale lemon colour. The nose is very expressive with notes of grapefruit, lemongrass and orange blossom. The palate is driven by citrus, the acidity is lively but balanced by a creamy coating that ends with pineapple flavours.
